Robotic Perception for Precision Agriculture
Robotic Perception for Precision Agriculture
Indoor Fruit/Crop Monitoring is a perception technology used in robotic agriculture systems to accurately identify the positions of fruits and crops and to understand their surrounding environment. In indoor farms, where the workspace is confined and the required accuracy often reaches sub-centimeter or millimeter levels, conventional sensing approaches are insufficient. This task therefore relies on specialized and sophisticated perception methodologies, integrating data from cameras and LiDAR sensors mounted on manipulators and drones to achieve precise and reliable monitoring.
